Local Shows Strong

Your corporate folks don't want you spending T&E money just now, but you want to keep up with automation training and networking. What to do?

Local events are a great way to keep up on the cheap. I attended the annual ISA event in Carson, CA yesterday and I'm glad I did. As always, it gave me a chance to catch up with old acquaintances and network with new folks.

Attendance, exhibits, and training classes were all strong - certainly comparable to last year's event.

Of note was systems integrator AES Global. Their president and CEO Joe Bingham told me that their business remains strong, and that they are confident for the immediate future. His company is putting money into products and developing specialized automation components for their client base in local process industries.
