Several years ago, I wrote rave reviews of the first edition of this slim volume...and I'm here to tell you that the second edition is just as good. Companies should buy boxes of this book and give them to all the IT people who don't understand the plant floor, and to all the operations people who are afraid of networking. Marshall and Rinaldi have written both a basic guide to industrial ethernet, and a very good sourcebook for engineers and technicians. You can (and you should) buy this boo...
