To meet increasing demand, Galco Industrial Electronics celebrated the grand opening on Apr. 26 of its new product distribution center that's twice as big as its predecessor and also located next to its global headquarters in Madison Heights, Mich.
“In 2021 Galco experienced massive growth while combating continuous supply chain issues and delays,” says Allison Sabia, president and CEO of Galco. “Our new warehouse will allow us to find solutions to these disruptions by stocking a broader selection of products and getting them to our customers more efficiently, as well as grow faster and continue to partner with the industrial automation market to support the future of technology."
The new facility accommodates Galco’s growing inventory, which includes more than 350 authorized product lines from more than 670 brands. It also features a media area to share product details, and has added storage space for large drives and motors. It's expected to enable shorter lead times, more workflow efficiency, and allow Galco to ship more than 1,000 orders daily.
