April 4, 2024
Pending customary closing conditions, the transaction was expected to be finalized at the end of February

To expand its hydraulic and pneumatic presence in Canada, Motion Industries Inc. agreed Feb. 20 to acquire Perfetto Manufacturing and SER Hydraulics. Both companies are located in Sudbury, Canada, and each provides engineered solutions, service and equipment for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, complex power units, and other assets used in fluid power systems.

Pending customary closing conditions, the transaction was expected to be finalized at the end of February. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Both companies are well-established, and central to nearby mining, agricultural and forestry industries. Perfetto has been in business since 1986, while SER Hydraulics has been in business since 1978. Motion’s dual acquisition will expand and improve its services to these and other heavy-industry customers.

“After more than 30 successful years in business, we want to thank our loyal customers and employees for contributing to our success,” says Gerald Perfetto Sr., owner. “The Motion team is committed to continued investment in the business, which will bring great opportunities for our customers, employees, and the communities where we work and live. We couldn’t be more
pleased with the interest that Motion has taken in our business and wish everyone continued
success.”

Randy Breaux, president of Genuine Parts Co. (GPC) North America, adds, “We look forward to welcoming these two terrific organizations, especially their talented
Employees. These experts will be key to our market growth strategy, and we look forward to extending our position together as a premier leader in industrial solutions.”
