Moog will keep producing radial piston pumps at Böblingen facility

Aug. 5, 2024
The transition is part of Moog’s strategy to simplify by consolidating global locations
Moog Inc. announced June 11 that it will continue producing its RKP radial piston pumps at its facility in Böblingen, Germany, after its Nuremberg plant closes at the end of 2026.

The company reports this transition means users can continue to rely on its radial piston pumps, spare parts and repairs services. This includes the planned introduction of its AXP axial piston pump, which will allow Moog to offer two pump types from one source.

The transition is also part of Moog’s strategy to simplify by consolidating global locations. Moog projects that bringing together sales and service, engineering expertise and manufacturing operations in Böblingen will let it build a stronger competitive advantage in hydraulic products and more effectively meet customers’ needs.
