System integrator Ondex buys machine-vision specialist

Vision and Control Systems will provide expertise in machine vision, barcode reading, robotic solutions, motion control and PLC programming

Ondex Automation announced Aug. 21 that it’s acquired Vision and Control Systems (VCS). A process and discrete system integrator based in Chicago, this transaction is Ondex’s fourth acquisition since April 2024, strengthening its expertise in machine vision, barcode reading, robotic solutions, motion control and PLC programming.

Founded in 2011 with locations in Springfield, N.J., and Greenville, S.C., VCS is a factory-automation systems integrator specializing in machine vision, It’s  known for delivering advanced, integrated machine vision solutions that combine mechanical, electrical, and software expertise. It solve scomplex automation challenges for companies in multiple  industries, including medical devices, life sciences, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, logistics and general industry. VCS is also a Cognex Partner System Integrator and a Cognex Logistics Partner Integrator.
