MCAA completes integration with Canadian Process Control Association

Following a members' vote earlier this year, Canada's process control trade group folds into MCAA, giving manufacturers and channel partners a unified voice across the U.S., Canada and Mexico

Key Highlights

  • CPCA members gain access to MCAA's full benefits portfolio, including market intelligence, benchmarking data, training programs and North American networking events.
  • The merger expands MCAA's footprint into Canada, positioning it as the primary trade association for the measurement, control and automation industry across North America.

The Measurement, Control & Automation Association (MCAA) announced the integration of member services and activities from the Canadian Process Control Association (CPCA), effective June 30, 2026.

The move is intended to strengthen MCAA's position representing the North American measurement, control and automation industry, and reflects a shared commitment to advancing member success through greater collaboration, expanded resources and stronger industry engagement across Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.

CPCA members unanimously approved the transition at the association's 2026 Annual General Meeting on May 6, 2026, following a strategic review by the CPCA Board of Directors of the organization's long-term sustainability. CPCA Executive Director Dan Nguyen thanked members, volunteers, committee participants and industry partners for their support over the years, calling the move an exciting new chapter for the process control community.

Navigating complex markets

As manufacturers, channel partners and service providers navigate increasingly complex market dynamics, access to timely business intelligence, professional development and strategic industry connections have never been more important. The integration creates new opportunities for companies across North America to engage, collaborate and grow within a broader industry community.

"As our industry continues to evolve, collaboration across borders is essential to long-term success," said Teresa Sebring, president, MCAA. "We are proud to welcome our new Canadian members and look forward to working together to strengthen our industry and create new opportunities for manufacturers and channel partners throughout North America."

All MCAA members now have access to an extensive portfolio of resources and benefits, including:

  • Expanded North American networking and business development opportunities;
  • Industry-leading market intelligence, benchmarking and economic reporting;
  • Enhanced education, training and professional development programs;
  • Greater access to industry advocacy, thought leadership and best practices; and
  • Increased organizational resources to support long-term member value and sustainability.

According to an MCAA statement, the integration reinforces MCAA's commitment to expanding its presence and engagement throughout Canada while providing an inclusive platform for companies across North America seeking deeper industry connections, actionable market insights and opportunities to accelerate business growth.
