Exton, Pa., April 15 – CSIA, the Control System Integrators Association, which set a series of increased membership marks in 2007, continued to expand its base during this year’s first quarter – growth that was matched by a record-setting pace of registration for the organization’s annual Executive Conference.
The world's largest association for control system integrators, CSIA continued to reach new membership levels during the first quarter of 2008, as integrators and automation product and service suppliers worldwide joined the organization at a record pace, bringing CSIA membership to more than 325. (To qualify for membership, a control system integrator must have achieved annual engineering and integration services revenues of at least $600,000 during the three-year period prior to application to CSIA and maintain that minimum level as a member.)
Similarly, the 2008 CSIA Executive Conference, being held in early May in Savannah, Ga., will be the largest in the association’s 16-year history. “We have confirmed registration for more than 300 attendees,” CSIA Executive Director Norman O’Leary noted, “not just member firm’s executives, but also managers and control system professionals from the companies. It reflects,” he added, “the parallel ‘business’ and ‘execution’ sessions we introduced last year. Mirroring our global reach – and the growing worldwide market for control system integration services is the score of countries throughout the Western Hemisphere and in Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East where CSIA members are located."
Similar diversity will also be reflected among the attendees at the upcoming Executive Conference, as members from as far away as Australia and Russia will be joined in Savannah by the majority of the nation’s and world’s largest automation suppliers. “Our supplier’s event has been oversubscribed as well for some time now,” O’Leary commented, “as automation hardware, software and communications product suppliers gather for a unique opportunity to meet firsthand with hundreds of the world’s biggest and best system integrators.”
