Stainless-steel, electro-hydraulic actuator has sealed motor for underwater service
Thomson H-Track electro-hydraulic actuator has been enhanced to make it more resilient in harsh and high-moisture environments. The latest version features marine-grade, 316 stainless-steel components for improved corrosion resistance, and a sealed motor housing that enables underwater operation, expanding its suitability for marine, agricultural, industrial and off-highway applications.
H-Track’s self-contained hydraulic system integrates the pump, motor and cylinder into a single, maintenance-free unit. It’s has always provided power for hydraulics without needing hoses, external pumps or regular maintenance, and delivers high power density and shock-load resistance, while also simplifying installation. Its latest enhancements make it more reliable in settings where conventional actuators may degrade over time. These upgrades include:
- Corrosion-resistant construction with all exposed fasteners, adapters and the piston rod composed of 316 stainless-steel, which is highly resistant to rust and oxidation, making it durable in saltwater, humid and corrosive conditions.
- Certified for long-term exposure by passing a 2,000-hour salt spray test, outperforming typical industry standards.
- IP68 dynamic rating for underwater operation thanks to H-Track’s sealed motor housing, which lets it function while fully submerged.
H-Track also has optimized stroke length and load configurations, making it easier to specify and faster to deliver. While the design is refined for manufacturability, it remains fully customizable to meet specific application needs.
