CFW500 washdown AC drives from WEG have increased their horsepower—up to 30 hp for 460 VAC models and up to 20 hp for 230 VAC models. They’re rated IP66 and NEMA 4X for use in the harshest environments. They include a SoftPLC for custom-tailored control schemes, and support several control modes, including scalar V/F and closed-loop flux vector control.

CFW500 drives also include two new communications modules that provide more networking capabilities. They’ve added dual-port EtherNet/IP with a web server, and Profinet connection options, depending on the model chosen.
