SoftPLC gateways can be user-configured to support a mix of Ethernet and serial protocols, such as Ethernet/IP, ModbusTCP, Modbus, DF1 and more. They also support multiple channels of Allen-Bradley Remote I/O (RIO) or Data Highway Plus (DH+), bridge devices from multiple vendors, and give Rockwell PLC/PACs users an easy way to upgrade otherwise obsolete drives, robots, operator interfaces and other devices without requiring PLC replacement or changes or adding expensive communication modules to a Logix PAC.
