Ethernet brings hazardous area automation to Class I, Division 2

Vtug-EX space-saving valve terminals extend fieldbus connectivity into Class I, Division 2 areas by using Ethernet to link the terminals directly to a PLC, and eliminate the need to wire individual actuators over long distances. They support EtherNet/IP, Profinet and Profibus communications by using interchangeable bus nodes. Vtug-Ex also connects directly to an IO-Link master for added flexibility.

Vtug-EX also accommodates up to 24 valve stations (up to 48 solenoid coils) with flow rates up to 630 l/min (22 CFM). It also features hot-swap valve replacement, multiple pressure zones, and panel-mounted installation that simplify maintenance and system design. It also holds global certifications, including UL Class I, Division 2 and IECEx, which enables deployment in hazardous locations worldwide.
