SturdeCAM57 5MP, global-shutter, RGB-IR, GMSL2 camera is based on an automotive-grade image sensor. It streams RGB and infrared frames as independent channels, providing AI vision systems with full-color imagery and high-contrast IR data from one camera. It allows continuous monitoring across daylight, low-light and no-light conditions without requiring multiple sensors. It’s also optimized for seamless integration with Nvidia Jetson and other platforms.

SturdeCAM57 is differentiated by its onboard, fine-tuned image signal processor (ISP), which performs RGB-IR separation, demosaicing and color reconstruction within the camera. This eliminates dependence on host platforms such as Nvidia Jetson, enabling systems to allocate more resources to AI inference and application processing.

SturdeCAM57 also integrates 940-nanometer IR illumination, and combines it with high quantum efficiency to ensure reliable visibility in low-light and zero-light conditions. The camera also features an IP67-rated enclosure, and operates reliably across extreme temperatures from -40 °C to 85 °C. Its stream health monitoring and recovery feature ensures uninterrupted camera streaming by continuously monitoring the health of its  sensor, ISP and GMSL link.

In addition to driver and occupant monitoring systems, SturdeCAM57 is well-suited for other 5MP, global-shutter vision applications, including industrial automation, and pick-and-place robotics.
