Schneider Electric’s motor controls use Weidmüller’s connectors to save 75% on wiring time
Weidmüller reported June 1 that Schneider Electric is using its Snap In connectors for the first time in its TeSys motor controllers. Their collaboration has produced TeSys Deca toolless contactor, manual motor controller and control relay, which let OEMs and panel builders reduce motor control installation times by up to 75%.

Snap In enables stranded and ferruled wire to be inserted directly into the contact point with no additional preparation, and typically allows a single termination to be completed in just one second. Its pre-tensioned contact points are ready for immediate use, which simplifies and accelerates the wiring process. A green pusher indicates the switching status of the contact point, providing visual, tactile and audible feedback, including a distinct click confirming secure contact.
In addition, Snap In’s design optimizes safety, and provides reliable connections that ensure consistent conductor insertion every time. The technology is also reusable, making it ideal for maintenance and retrofitting.
