As part of Fortifi Food Processing Solutions, poultry processing suppliers Provisur Technologies and Nothum Food Processing Systems reported July 13 they’re jointly developing a seamless, turnkey approach to chicken nugget production from grinding and forming through to battering, breading and frying. Their customized, food-processing solutions are expected to streamline production and simplify equipment integration. 

As part of Fortifi’s global, food-processing portfolio, Provisur and Nothum report they can work together from the earliest stages of a project to help users simplify equipment sourcing, streamline installation, and reduce the complexities of large-scale processing lines. Provisur's Weiler and Formax products perform grinding and forming, while Nothum specializes in automated coating and frying. Working together, they can eliminate bottlenecks and integration challenges food processors encounter when working with multiple suppliers, and ensure that individual pieces of equipment function as a cohesive production system.

"Food processors are increasingly looking for companies that can simplify complex projects," says Charlie Tarantino, sales director at Provisur. "Our collaboration with Nothum allows us to bring together complementary technologies and expertise for our customers, so they can move from concept to production with greater confidence and ease."

User can also evaluate and refine chicken nugget products at Provisur's 20,000-ft. innovation center in Mokena, Ill., and at Nothum's Solutions Studio in Springfield, Mo. They let processors test recipes, validate equipment configurations, and optimize complete processing lines before implementation.
