A defining feature is the 360° illuminated status ring. Clearly visible from any direction—even in bright environments—it provides instant feedback on switching state and process conditions. Operators can immediately see whether the sensor is active or signaling a fault. With up to 256 selectable colors, the display can be adapted to plant standards or local visibility needs, helping reduce troubleshooting time and improve safety on the plant floor.
Vegapoint is also well suited for hygienic applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Developed according to hygienic design principles, the sensors conform to standards such as FDA, EC 1935/2004, GMP and GB regulations. A uniform hygienic adapter system allows flexible configuration, while supporting global standardization and simplified engineering.
For modern automation environments, Vegapoint is available in two-wire, three-wire, and IO-Link versions. IO-Link enables fast integration using standard cables, and allows automatic parameter transfer when replacing a device. This reduces configuration errors, shortens downtime, and supports efficient maintenance planning.
Wireless access via the VEGA Tools app adds further flexibility. In hard-to-reach installations, operators can retrieve status and diagnostic information from a safe distance.
