Balluff Inc. is the second best place to work in Kentucky, according to the state's society for human resource management and chamber of commerce.
The Florence, Ky., company competed and came in second in the medium-sized company category (companies with 150-499 employees) at the10th Annual Best Places to Work in Kentucky awards ceremony on April 24. Baluff joined 90 other Kentucky companies which were recognized for their commitment to workplace excellence.
The selection process for the contestis based on an assessment of the company’s employee policies and procedures in addition to the results of an internal employee survey. The competition is a multi-year initiative designed to motivate companies to focus, measure and move their workplace environments toward excellence since studies show a strong correlation between profitability and creating a good workplace environment. The Best Places to Work in Kentucky initiative is based on FORTUNE magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work for in America” list.
