May 1, 2020

In an email to its members, the International Society of Automation (ISA) announced that all of its remaining face-to-face conferences in 2020 will be cancelled or moved into virtual platforms. The decision to cancel or create virtual events was based on maintaining the safety of ISA members and customers, it says.

The following face-to-face events will be cancelled for 2020:

  • ISA Analysis Division Symposium
  • ISA Cybersecurity Standards Implementation Conference
  • ISA Energy & Water Automation Conference
  • ISA Digital Transformation in Deepwater Production Conference
  • ISA IIoT & Smart Manufacturing Conference
  • ISA Annual Leadership Conference
  • ISA Process Industry Conference

Refunds will be automatically processed for these events, the ISA says.

To help its members continue to stay engaged despite the event cancellations, the ISA offers a collection of digital and virtual resources, including free, on-demand web seminars on the ISA Automation Education Network. Additionally, it will be creating new series covering the following topics:

  • Cybersecurity
  • IIoT & Smart Manufacturing
  • Digital Transformation
  • Process Control & Instrumentation

The ISA also announced that it will be launching new virtual events with interactive networking and learning sessions on topics like cybersecurity and digital transformation.
