Beckhoff Automation LLC reported June 24 that it's opened its new Process Industry Technical Center in Houston, Texas, to solidify its presence in the process industry and better serve high-tech customers. Because the U.S. oil and gas and petrochemical markets are centered in Houston, Beckhoff staff at its technical center will include sales and application engineering, training and management personnel focused on the process industry. This initiative will also bolster service to the company’s growing customer base in the region.
Located on the city’s west side inside the Town Centre One building, Beckhoff's new Houston office gives it about 8,700 square feet of floor space, including a state-of-the-art automation showroom, with technologies geared toward oil and gas production, refining and delivery, as well as alternative energy solutions. However, its increased support for sales, engineering, training and seminars will benefit Beckhoff's customers in all industries, including metalworking, biomedical, aerospace, packaging and intra-logistics and others.

In addition to its expansion in Houston, Beckhoff is opening new U.S. facilities in 2021 in or near Denver, Milwaukee and Orlando. Along with its U.S. headquarters in the Minneapolis area, Beckhoff maintains regional offices in key metropolitan areas across North America. For example, headquartered in Cambridge, Ontario, Beckhoff Canada maintains regional offices in Montreal, Quebec, and Vancouver, British Columbia. Beckhoff Mexico was established in 2019 in Mexico City.
